Canadian Snowcross Racing (CSRA) has announced a new racing program for kids.
The new promotion will introduce parents and their children aged (10-13 years), to the sport of Snowcross Racing. CSRA, with support from a selection of Ski-doo dealers, have created the "Ski-doo Freestyle Challenge". The promotion will provide a FREE Snowcross ride for up to 100 kids on the new 300cc Freestyle Ski-doo.
At each CSRA race in Ontario, 10 kids with no previous racing experience will be invited to participate on identical Ski-doo Freestyle sleds. The new racer and his or her parents will be invited to watch a day of racing and will then be introduced to a professional CSRA racer for on track instruction.
The "Ski-doo Freestyle Challenge" promotion includes:
- Free weekend gate admission and entry fees for the racer and parents.
- One on one instruction with a Pro CSRA racer.
- Free use of a Ski-doo Freestyle snowmobile for practice and competition.
- Free use of Helmet, Goggles, Tekvest, Shin Pads,
and Coldwave Racing Suit.
Each Saturday when the CSRA races are complete, the 10 new racers will have opportunity to practice on the race track with a new 300cc Ski-doo Freestyle snowmobile. A Pro racer will provide one on one instruction with each of the new competitors.
The next day (Sunday), the 10 new racers will compete head to head with each other, with the winner advancing to the "Ski-doo Freestyle Challenge Final". The Final race will take place at Horseshoe Valley Resort, home of the Ryde FX Canadian National Snowcross Championships on April 1-2, 2006.
At Horseshoe, the winners will race against each other with the overall champion at Horseshoe, winning a new Ski-doo Freestyle snowmobile! All participants will also receive a prize package from assorted CSRA series sponsors.
CSRA president Ken Avann states that "this promotion is a win, win, for everyone involved." The new racers and their parents will be introduced to a great winter sport, they get to meet the CSRA Pro's face to face, and will have a great weekend of Snowcross racing FREE!! of charge. Ski-doo dealers get to show off their new products, and are introduced to potential customers when they show up at the dealers to fill out a "Ski-doo Freestyle Challenge" entry form.
CSRA sponsors will benefit from the additional exposure of their products to new customers, and by showing that they "Support The Sport" CSRA will benefit by attracting new racers to the Snowcross series, as well, spectators love watching kids compete, it will be great to see the look on the kids faces, especially the overall winner, when (he or she) is presented with their new Ski-doo Freestyle snowmobile.

- Age limit (Boys or Girls) 10-13 years of age at the time of their first race day.
- No previous Snowcross racing experience.
- Must have parents permission (a signed waiver and release will be required).
- CSRA must approve all applicants.
- Chosen applicants will be contacted by Phone or e-mail to participate (2) weeks before they compete. (Selected Racers are permitted to compete at one event only)

Application entry forms must be completed and signed by the racer and parent or legal guardian in person, at one of the following Ski-doo dealers.
